Val di Non
Val di Non is a series of plateaus separated by deep gorges, at the bottom of which flow numerous rivers, and offers wide and sunkissed green landscapes sorrounded by the Brenta Dolomites and the Maddalene mountain group.
Val di Non is famous for the quality of its main agricultural product: apples. This fruit is grown on the gentle slopes of the hilly territory.
As well as agricultural land, the valley has always been an interesting tourist destination both in summer and winter time. Accommodation is plentiful and mainly located in the highest part of Valle di Non and in the area called Predaia.
A dense network of roads and paths allows cyclists and hikers to find the ideal spot to practice their favorite activities. The deep canyons that characterise the landscape have also become attractive destination for excursionists in search of unusual experiences and perspectives: the Rio Sass canyon that drops suddenly between the rocks and the Parco Fluviale Novella are the most striking routes among a series of other fascinating trails.
The small villages are rich with castles and palaces of high historical value and preserve the local arts, culture and traditions. The famous Sanctuary of San Romedio, which rises on an isolated rocky outcrop is widely considered one of the most impressive religious building in the Alps.
